Second Shield Nickel

Found my second Shield nickel this past weekend in an old park that I haven't been to in a while. It was at the base of a tree right along the street, had to dig around a bunch of roots and almost gave it up but I'm glad I stuck with it. I couldn't make out the date on the one I found a couple of years ago but this one is an 1868, my oldest nickel by about 30 years :yes:

Very cool find! Shield Nickels don't show up too often. That one still has nice detail and a clear date. It is difficult to find old nickels in parks because of all of the can slaw and pulltab pieces that sound similar to nickels.
