This AM I hit the site that produced a few 1600s and 1720s coins of late. When I got my coil on this 1817 I KNEW it was a copper. Most times you're hopeful...and you know it's good, but it could be an oxknob or buckle...but this time the sound, numbers, and depth profile (and site) were perfect....you know the coin....the one where you take your headphones off and dig like an archeologist  I was kinda taken aback when I saw the Liberty head...almost 100 yrs newer than anything I've found there, but the drainage there is kind to these coins! Some much cool color on that large dandy too!
Thanks!
PS I did fancy thoughts of that dandy being a chicken hawk!
