Silver #100, SLQ! SWEET Token!

I had a great hunt this past Friday and found 3 silver mercs (1917, 1940 and 1942) at a spot I have hammered with a friend about 4-5 years ago. Also found a 1907 V Nik, 1926 Buff, 1888 Indian and a sweet token! The token states "Billiard Parlor" on one side and "Good for 5cents at the Bar" on the other side along with the name and town of the owner.

Then yesterday I was sitting on 99 silvers for the year and visited a local park during my lunch break. I came across a trashy signal that gave me a slight squeak as my coil moved past it. I thought that just maybe there was a good target hiding...I cut the plug and my X1 pinpointer gave me a sweet sound...12-46 on the Etrac. I knew I had a silver and a scoop of dirt later I saw my 4th SLQ of the year! This one is a smoothie but I will never complain about that!

Today during my lunch I went right back to that park and found a 1942 merc that was a rare obvious silver signal. Then 10 ft away I got another trashy target with a bit of a squeak to it as my coil moved past the target. This one ended up being another silver....1935 D Washington!

Not all of these sketchy signals end up being silvers for me...I dig up a lot of trash and nails and more often than not I find nothing at all in the hole. But I think the more I dig these types of signals the more silver and cool treasures I will find.

Thanks for looking! Jared

:shocked04: That's some seriously good hunting right there! It's hard to fathom the amount of silver some people dig! This is my best silver year ever and I'd guesstimate maybe 50 silver coins total. I'd take that token over the coins though :envious: Nice job!

Great Token :congrats:Bucknut , it would be cool to hear when it was being used !

I am primarily a coin guy BUT this token is pretty special to me. I would take it over the other coins too.

That token is AMAZING! I've never seen one shaped like that. So intricate and ornate, without a doubt the coolest token I've ever seen.

:perfect10:

Wow that token is pretty sweet. Grats on a find like that. And a bunch of silvers. Looks like you had a good year for silvers. I have had an ok year; fairly good in fact for the fact I don't find much silver where I hunt.

As most know, I'm a token guy. The old trade tokens are one of my favorite things to find while detecting.
And I have to agree with the others about this token. One of the most intricate trade tokens I've seen! I love it! :loveit:
The little "good for" and "5 at bar" and Ohio being so small and close to the edge, it's a surprise that they're not obliterated.
Specially coming out of the ground in Ohio! Most of the copper coins I've dug in Ohio, in my limited time there, we're pretty toasty.:bummer:
I love it!! :smitten:
Congrats!
Oh yeah! Congrats on the 102 silvers too! :congrats:
