Silver in the snow

don in ny

Although I got out a couple of times this week, still suffering from cabin fever. Even though we had a forcast for snow, I couldn't resist getting out for a bit. 5 minutes after I got to a local school yard it started snowing. More than half the place was still covered by winter snow, but there was a small area of grass and after sticking my shovel in it seemed to be detectable. Did manage to get a Merc and war nickel (7 silver so far this week) and 8 wheaties. This is a small school yard that has been pounded, but I go slower than most and dig a few signals they don't so I was hopeful. Thought I'd throw in a pic of what my pouch and probe looked like when I got home as well as a pic taken 10 minutes ago of my front yard. It's still snowing. Welcome to the first full day of spring.

Like that pic of the Merc with the snowflakes Don. Speaking of, it just stopped snowing in eastern CT.

It was snowing so hard while I was detecting by the time I got my phone out to take a picture there were snowflakes starting to stick to the plug. It stopped snowing here this morning about 10:30.

Still too much snow, frozen ground in Ct but this weekend maybe. Nice finds, Don.

With the warm weather and rain we're expecting later in the week you should be able to dig over the weekend. Bad news ix it's supposed to be cold on Saturday.
