Six Silver Dimes, Eleven Indian Head Cents

Yesterday it rained all day, so a late day hunt was out of the question. :girlcry: Not so today though. <: So after taking care of a few important matters I grabbed my E-TRAC and headed out to a local park. I was hoping to score with a few Indian Head cents, and perhaps a couple of silver dimes, but the park was kind to me and yielded more than I asked for. :happydance01:

The silver - six dimes, dated 1897, 1899, 1912, 1918, 1920, and 1926.

Eleven Indian Head cents, dated 1888, 1896, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1904, 1905, 1907, 1907, 1907, and 1908. They bring my year-to-date count to 168.

I picked up some early wheat cents too, a total of fourteen. I did have a cent spill, with two wheat cents and two Indian Head cents found in one hole.

This worn 1884 V Nickel was in the same hole as the 1918 mercury dime. They had been stuck together.

And lastly, three old flat buttons and two lead hem weights.

Nice to see the older silver coming out of hiding again lol You just missed the big one with that '84 V nickel. Almost 8/ Some of them Indians look like they will clean up well too. A nice hunt and I bet you couldn't wait to get out today. All that rain did have it's advantages in depth the following day. :clapping: Nice finds Angel.

I sure did. :girlcry: The last digit is nearly completely worn; I can only make it out when holding the nickel at an angle, but even then it's either a 4 or a 6 depending on how badly I want it to be a six. lol

The rain did help. Much of the soil in certain areas of the park was damp.

Great hunt Angel. Nice variety.
Who would ever tire of digging Barbers, Mercs and IH's?
I'd love to have a six silver day. :daydream:
Will the IH's clean up better? Sure makes me appreciate how they come out over here.
Congrats.

Several of those Indian Head cents will clean up very nicely. I just wish they all would. 8/

Whoa! :shocked04: That park was VERY generous!
Thats a boat load of IH's!! :shocked04:
Love the Barbers too! :smitten:
 Now that you mention it, you can see the green discoloration on the Merc were it was stuck to the....we'll just say 1886 V nickel
Another dream hunt Angel! |)
Congrats

|) Angel, someday (any day) I will score 6 silvers. Notice I did not mention adding 11 IH's. 168 IH's for the year :clapping:. Congrats on all your finds.

Thanks guys! :beerbuddy:

Yeah, so what park did ya hit?

Ah, but Rob, I never mention what sites I hit. \:hammer: ;) All I can say is that they are easily accessible, and many are well-known and still detected by others. I do need to expand out to other locations though. :thinkingabout: lol

You've found more Indians Heads this year than I've found Wheat Cents! :crying02:

Ha ha, great hunt as always, Angel! Love the Barber Dimes! :smitten:

Yeah I knew that, and I knew you wouldn't say, but you can't blame a guy for trying lol

Angel, Rob hates to be teased, so tell me and I can try to calm him down
