They are bulldozing the houses now. About 3 months ago I read where the city was buying out 14 homes and widening the street where they were. Eventually, the people moved out and I moved in. I worked the sites over & over many times and ended with 750 coins. Here's 6 Roosevelt silver dimes and 1 Washington quarter, 1951.

Also got 71 wheat cents - breaks down to one silver coin for every 10 wheats, about my usual ratio.

And I just knew there had to be a gold or silver jewelry item somewhere and I wasn't disappointed. The ring, missing stone, is 14 K and the 925 necklace is 22 inches long.

For recent coins I dug 578 pennies and 71 clad for a great total. And it all started by noticing a newspaper article in a column I don't usually read. Maybe I was meant to do it :) Steve in so az

... and it's a great one!! Congrats on all of those goodies. :clapping:
I always love silver coinage, but that necklace is a big junk of 925.

Way to key in on that opportunity! Congrats on the silver, gold, wheats! I know of an area they are doing that here, except the land is all owned not by the city but the sewerage district and is considered private property.

Just think, you saved them coins from being trapped under tar forever lol A great example of reading something and taking advantage of it. Well done :clapping:
