the only thing I can add to this article is that Stuart crystal jewelry did continue into the 1700's as "mourning jewelry" maybe as far as 1800 but if that were true it would be more commonly found . I have never found any Stuart crystal jewelry and every piece that has turned up around me has been at those much earlier sites from late 1600's to very early 1700's .

Ohh, there's nothing under the glass in mine. So I guess it's just Georgian era junk. I'll recycle it. :lol: Kidding!
Makes me think of years ago when most sites had coppers, we used to joke about throwing Matrons into the stone walls as they weren't old enough.
