As I stated in another thread I had a busy summer with a house project. I had to do some siding work as the old MDF (fiber board) over time got damaged and started to rot. Hate the stuff. It's like painting a graham cracker. It also did water damage to the sill, joist ends and sheeting. We decided to use plastic stack stone panels. At first I was skeptical, but this stuff is like three times the thickness of standard vinyl, Anyway it turned out good in my opinion. I had to remove the entire front deck to be able to get at it. Four sections in total had to be worked on.
