Super-tuning..who does it?

For the people who have/had machines with an adjustable t-hold...did you ever try it? If so,were you're results favorable? I know the AM and AM pinpoint become useless but I'm looking for every inch I can get. And,to diffuse that last sentence before things get out of hand,I mean depth.:behave:

Us old (I mean OLD) MXT users adjust the threshold every time we use one.

Lowjiber-how beneficial do you find it to be? I'm asking because air tests on my IDX gained 2 inches on a silver quarter. Not scientific measurements but a healthy increase for sure. If it's been proven to do this in the dirt I'm crankin the bejeepers outta that thing this year! What say you?:thinkingabout:
