The Arkenstone, thimble and button etc.

Lodge Scent

Well maybe not quite the Arkenstone, but I did feel like Bilbo Baggins for a second when I saw this in my sifter screen.

I'm guessing it is cut glass or crystal and I am guessing it was a necklace jewel ??

Also sifted the thimble. Found the rest with the detector. Found the bone-handled fork as I was digging for the lead tube thingy.

Nice finds! Just watched the Hobbit with the kids.

Great movie Bucknut. Great book.

Dan, I imagine that piece of glass was a treasure to the dirt poor hardscrabble colonist that lived in that 10' X 10' cabin.

I agree, some nice finds! Always like to see a good thimble, and that fork I would guess is pretty early.

I do like finding thimbles. Would like to find a silver one some day. That site gave up 15 coppers or so when I found it some years back. The youngest being 1809. I'm assuming the fork is a couple hundred years old anyway.

I mean come on man the guy finds a magical crystal in a sifter box... lol nice finds!

I know! What the heck! That's rarer than Donnie B's shilling !

Nice job, Jeff! That's an old thimble too!

Drew the Arkenstone came from inside the cellar hole.

You found the Arkenstone! How many gold coins did you need to sift to find it?

Donnie, yeah I was tossing aside the gold to get to that stone.

Please provide the location of the tossed gold coins...... Could the crystal be part of a lamp that had hanging crystals? And is that a cuff link I see?
