Hi everyone, finally got out for a couple of hours with Jr and went back to a spot we had hunted before. I was digging almost all the iffy signals (got alot of nails) this one was an iffy signal too- dug my hole got the pin pointer out stuck it in the hole no signal did a quick sweep with the detector realized it was already out of the hole, moved some of the dirt with my hand and saw this little silver thing (thought it was a button cause it was so small) did a quick wipe with the glove and saw the leaves on the back and thought it looked liked the back of a dime but it was so small wiped it again and could read it and it said half dime. Holy smokes I never saw a half dime before so I didin't realize they were that small-forgot to do the happy dance cause I guess I was so shocked I never thought I would ever find something like that! Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting Everyone. |:cheering: Donna

Very nice looking 1/2 dime. They sure are small. I quess it pays to dig iffy signals. Congrats on your first silver of the year and your first 1/2 dime.

:omg: congrats on the half dime! I got my first this year too. And i wasn't sure it was real either. Soooooooo tiny. But a fantastic find, congratulations again.
