Three Indian Heads in one hour.

I hunted for an hour after work today at a park in a small town that is on my way home from work. I had hunted at this park once before when I first got my E-Trac, didn't find a thing so I had written it off. I decided to give it another try today and I'm glad I did. No silver, but I did find three easy Indian Heads in an hour.

I only hunted a very small area, so my hopes are high there there is a lot more there. I think I had better results today because I know my E-Trac a lot better now. It seems to really be honed in on Indian Heads lately. It's hard to believe that I found 18 Indian Heads all of last year, but I have found 29 of them already this year in less than three months.

Here are the three I found today, not cleaned up yet: 1892, 1902, 1902

Those are are some nice IHs. :smitten: I do love finding them. You are doing great with them. :clapping:

Now this is one heck of a nice 1 hour hunt. :clapping:
It definitely looks like you and the E have those beauties locked in.

I'd love a three IH head soon. :smitten: Congrats Tony.

There must be more there. And definitely go back to all the sites you wrote off when you first got the E-Trac -- I've found there's more at some of them now that I know the machine better.

Seems to me that you can probably break 100 on the IH's this year. Nice finds. As Randy suggested, go back to the old sites you first hunted.

Nice job on the Indian heads, I always love finding them too, I remember when I first started detecting that was one of the coins I always dreamed of finding.

Glad to see the MDing gods are favoring you again Tony! You seem to excel at finding injuns and barbers (sort of a scalping theme there). BTW, how many little parks do you drive past on your way home? lol Sounds like you got a lot more parks around you than I do down here (I'm jealous :envious:). Anyway, congrats on those good finds and HH, Dave.

Time to write that one back down! thumbsup01 lol
3 IH's after work is sweet! <:

great hunt , just curious , what numbers come up for you on indians?
|:cheering:

They vary quite a bit, depending on the soil and how deep they are. FE numbers typically range from 09 to 12 and the CO numbers range from 32 to 39. Most of the time they are around 11-33 to 12-35.

I'm glad you found your Indian Head, Tim! I'd hate to lose any Indian Head, let alone an 1864! I've never found one that old.
