CODY

Hi All
I had time for a short hunt this afternoon. Went back to the empty lot where I found the SLQ and Merc. Came up with a 1943 Washington quarter about two inches deep. Two wheat pennies. 1945 and ?
Started on the lot next to this one and got a hand full of pennies and clad. Also a very neat padlock. I was told it is a railroad padlock. 18th Silver since May.
Thanks for looking.

I never tire of seeing those silver Washingtons. :smitten: Way to go CODY.
It does look like a RR lock. Very neat find.
Congrats.

More info on the lock. It is brass. On the back of the shank it reads J.H.W. Climax Co. Newark N.J. USA. On the front of the shank it reads M.P. Co. I will have to see if I can find out what the M.P. Co. stands for. Right now the only thing I can think of in this area is Mississippi Power. None of our RR's past or present have those initials.

Cody, always great to see that silver quarter in the hole. Congrats and hope you can find out some more about the lock, cool looking.
