Got out today, very dry out here in iowa , i managed . 4 indians . 5 wheats , 2 v nickles ,and a gold(i think) cuff link and a old pc from a drawer i think , best indian was a 1871 , nice shape , 1909 wheat , 1910 and 11 v nickles , 1906,1901 and 1897 indians , good hunting all, pray for some rain

It looks like you still had great results though, Dave! An 1871 Indian Head is a great find! Love the V Nickels too!
 
Nice keepers Dave. :clapping: I haven't turned on my machine much in the last three weeks, but from working in my
garden I can completely agree the soil is dry. Much like July from previous years. crying01

Great hunt and great finds. Still looking for my first V nickel. Yep, the ground is like concrete here in Missisippi. Have bout decided to wait till it rains some. Last time I went, a few days ago, had to use a sharpshooter just to break the surface.
 
Some great finds you got there. An 1871 IH is fantastic and also a 1909 wheat....awesome. Hope you get some rain soon. Congrats on all your keepers.

Most say it does, ,, i believe it , . most of the idians werent that deep, one was only maybe 3 inches
