Trade token bonanza!

Got out with my hunt buddy Freemindstuck and my son for a hunt at a house that's going to be demolished soon.
It didn't take us long to figure out we were on one of the best token pulls that I have ever seen.
Freemindstuck and I pulled matching $1.00 Vredenberg and Lewis tokens right off the bat
little did we know what would follow

dueling plugs
holes with two and three tokens
big ones....
medium ones....small ones.....
as the pile grew we began to wonder.....what....why....??
in the first hour Freemindstuck and I were tied with 7 tokens each
we took a break and returned with my son and our token bonanza grew to a crazy 26!
and as if the tokens were not enough......belt buckle.....brass ring.....horse tack...old pad lock
we all three walked away sweaty....dirt covered......and smiling ear to ear!

Our three hours in the dirt was one of the best days I have ever had detecting!


Did I mention we only got to about half this yard!!!!!

Great pile of tokens. I wish that we had them here in my area. Is that fork silver?

We went back today and pulled ten more tokens and a few other modest coins. Making the total 35 tokens out of this yard. The Morgan dollar is my second silver dollar this week. I have never seen anything like it. The first pic is just my take. Our hunting buddy who came down from Des Moines pulled the Silver Jesus Bling.

We are wondering the same thing about the why these were here?
Returned today and pulled 10 more tokens.......and Freemindstuck killed it with another silver dollar today......a buddy from Des Moines drove down to hunt with us and came away with a spectacular silver pendant and some tokens!
Still smiling hours later!

Here are some close ups of the Morgan dollar I dug yesterday. It is my second silver dollar in five days. I woke up today and thought to myself did that really happen or did I dream it? I keep looking up expecting lightning might strike me. But I'm really happy that it happened while digging with my friends as such rare events are even better when shared.

Finally got around to taking some photos of the trade tokens I found. I tried to post different tokens then Driftwood but apologize for any repeats.

Here are a few photo's of the store this token came from. Unfortunately it is no longer there. It is on the right in the first photo. Notice that you can make out the name on the sign in the second photo.


I couldn't find a photo of the Woodbine general store but here is photo of Lewis in his bank and his house in Woodbine Iowa. Lewis is on the left.
