Tuesday at the old park

Doug and I met up as usual late Tuesday afternoon for a few hours of hunting at our usual spot. We decided to try a different spot in the park this time and we were amply rewarded. I hit a wheatie early on and then Doug got a good signal and it turned out to be a 1950 Rosey after I scored another wheatie Doug called me over he had a pocket spill with three wheaties and a 1943-D Merc. We kept on and while no more silver appeared we did find more wheats I ended up with 6 and Doug with 5 plus the silver. I did find a nice Schrade two bladed lock back knife, I was swinging the coil and I heard the loud blat of steel, looking over under some leaves I cleared away was the knife.

Sorry about sound syncronization at the end

Nice early Wheats and in great shape too. No silver this time, but some old coinage just the same. Congrats to Doug for his silvers. Nice hunt, and that location has the right age bracket for some older silver.
