After making a recovery from yesterdays hunt, I took three Advil and went to a forbidden zone. It took about 45 minutes before I got my first good hit , a LC a solid 9 down, thanks for the moist soil.

Almost an hour goes by before my next 76-78 goes off and really sounds good. I kept digging and digging before out comes this nice relic...this baby was deep.

I think it might be the top off a powder flask because this was a hunting area back in the 1800s, but I'm not sure. Any ideas ? I know it isn't much to work with but anyone care to take a guess at what the LC might be ?

I found a dog tag ( recent ) and some clad. Very pleased with the two finds and a pleasent afternoon.

Frank , Dave is right on the copper it is a King George II half penny from the bust (young head type) it falls between
1729 to 1739 for a date. your other piece has me really intriegued , it looks pretty heavy and could you put it next to
something to give us a size reference picture. love the artwork on it
