Vacant old school & home site hunt!

Long hunt today (over 6 hours) with some new friends I found out live in my area. (video on my YT channel)

Found the buff (1937), transit token (1948)and 1 wheatie (1950) at the school. :)

The silver barber dime (1899), 2 wheaties (1925 & 1944-D) and relics came from an old home site. (House is completely gone) And there was a lot of activity in the yard prior to that as well as there a MASSIVE tree probably 300 years old there. My hunting buddies have found pre civil war buttons there in the past. :shocked03:

Anyhow, it was a great day! :grin:

And the bell (or what I think is a bell?) was about 18 inches down :shocked04:

Nice hunt, hope everyone else did well too. Like the silver pin(?) under the Barber Dime. That does look like an old door bell or half a yoyo :lol:

That's one heavy yoyo :lol:
And sadly the pin is not silver. Here's the info someone gave me on the bell. :)

Your bell was attached to the front door of a house so that visitors could turn the actuator on the outside (opposite side of the bell) it would ring and the occupants would come and answer it.
 
cool items , my daughter recognized the Mocking jay pin too ( she is a big fan of the book series). super congrats on the barber :clapping:
