Waterproof pinpointer?

Just wondering of anyone has tried putting their pinpointer in a gallon ziplock bag or used a vac-seal to create a waterproof barrier for pinpointing underwater?

I'm not sure I would try the ziplock bag, but the vac-seal is an intriguing idea. :interesting: The only flaw I can see is the dirt (or rocks) will wear a hole in the bag rather quickly. But if you are careful with it, it may work. But like Dan said, I may switch brands and get a vibraprobe, just not sure which one yet. Almost everything I use now is either very water resistant or waterproof... my phone, GPS, pinpointer (soon to be), boots, CTX3030, etc

get a vibraprobe 580 its waterproof
I have one too.
It's large and unwieldy, and it's a tip sensitive only PI detector, so I only use it in water.
I wouldn't trust an arrangement that didn't durably seal a pinpointer not meant for submersion. One small nick would be all it would take to fry it.
