Found this old ring while i was there whats the best way to bend them back in shape with no or not much damage.

If the ring is silver I would use a baking powder paste. As far as straightening it out, there is a jewelers tool (can't think of the name of it) that will do that.
 
nice , I would like to see the rest of the ring band if possible . the tool to size and straighten out rings in called a Jeweler's mandrel and either a plastic headed or rubber mallet .
 
Yeah get yourself a mandrel or "ring sizer" tool and the mallet , just be careful tapping it as metal that sits in the ground can get a bit brittle , especially brass and copper . With these you might have to heat up to make them more malleable .
