first off did thay make arrow heads out of lead ? coz if so i think i found one with the leather binding still atached and its bloody loverly !!!.
also found 11 wheat pennies dating from 1909 to 1953 , a silver pendent , what looks like a ladys compact , another neat little box thingy with an N on the front , a key , $4.00 in clad , a thing with glass in both ends like a mini teliscope , an ice hockey badge.......hang on...i keep having to run to the other room to make sure i listed every thing...and a button.
the arrow head was found directly behind where the pequot massacre took place in 1637.
when the wife gets home and tells me where shes hid the camera ill take some photos.
also in the same place the day before larry found a ct copper and i found 2 the day before that bringing my total for the year so far to 16 coppers .....bloody hell this is turning out to be one great year and it aint even started yet realy.

anyway if del or anyone can shead light on the lead arrow head i would be greatful .

Looking forward to the photos, another great hunt Lee. Does anyone have an idea what people did with the state coppers coins after the US Mint was created in 1793. Did they just throw them away or melt them down. Lee ,16 coppers that's great, a lot of good memory s. :clapping:

just done a bit of research and found out the ladys compact is a valaze cosmetics brand from about 1920, after opening it and giving the inside a bit of spit...ewwww........i see it has a mirror in the lid......
this is a picture of helena rubinstein the owner valaze cosmitics

just a little add on.
it apears i found a bit of a cosmetics bundle yesterday , with the valeze compact i also found a manly and james iodin box and what i thought a first to be an old mini telescope turns out to be a lanvin perfume bottle inside a metal handbag holder from between 1890 and 1946 ....and heres a fun fact....lanvin turned into....wait for it....wait for it......GAP !!! as far as i can work out.

Lee, looks like you are digging up some history there. I didn't see the photo of the arrow head :dontknow:. Congrats on 16 coppers so far this year.

very nice finds Lee :clapping: :clapping: , what is it exactly thats wrapped around the arrow head piece ( it almost looks like a wire or similar to it ) .

Those are some great finds Lee . I've never heard of Lead Indian arrowheads but I guess it's possible or maybe it could have been a modern archer with a bit of imagination . Great history lesson there Lee . I wonder if Helena was the Lady Gaga of her day ?

Awesome find Lee. :clapping: I can't wait to hear what Del will have to say, but
you just might have yourself one heck of a find. :shocked04:
