What is this relic?

I found the attached item (not the penny you smart$%^$ 8/), the penny is there for size reference, anyways, found it in the field where I found the FUGIO , KGs and LC along with many flat buttons. A part has been broken off on the side, but it is oval with 2 holes on each end, and I KNOW YOU CAN'T SEE IT IN THE PIC >:tongue:...but there are crude triangles going around the perimeter just like period buttons.

Anyone have any ideas? :dontknow:

Hey Rob, I'm told they are attachments/decorations for saddles. I've found a few of late. Mine have designs on one side.
