White's V3-Live Controls Style Question

Expert Menu>Configure>Live Controls>Style.....

Bare
Knob
Buttons
Meter


I have tried changing these, but see no change at all.

Could I get some help finding out what exactly it is supposed to do?

I had thought well, it would change my live control buttons under the spectograph. I guess I'm wrong though. ?
