I just got my new issue of Western & Eastern Treasures magazine. I flip it open to the story about the 1652 silver shilling and who do I see? Our very own Donnie B!

Thanks guys! The photo of Danny is at the exact moment when he is handing me the Shilling out in the field. Danny was the first person to touch the coin since a Puritan lost it probably 325 plus years ago.

WOW!!! SOOOO EXCITING!!! I love the bucket list shirt too!! Nice words about Dan too! Congrats on a super honor!! :congrats::notworthy:

This is so cool! And well deserved! I think about this amazing find often. In my book it's the ultimate metal detecting find. I'm glad you got some recognition for it, Donnie!

It was quite an honor to be the first to touch that coin and I'm very humbled by reading that caption under the picture sir ! :notworthy: It was nice to walk out of the site with a couple more coin a few weeks ago !

My article was published online this morning so I captured these screen shots on my computer. It was very nice, Dan, to walk out of that site a few weeks ago with a couple of more coins. I wonder what else is hiding there?1a.jpg2a.jpg3a.jpg4a.jpg5a.jpg

I see you had Mark Parker answer your question about the window latch and published that too!
Can I have your autograph?

I found that window latch at one of my Civil War sites near Chickamauga, GA. I dug there for ten years before moving North to the land of Colonial goodies. I always thought it was a gun part but, on a whim, decided to "Ask Mark Parker" in Western & Eastern Treasures. He struggled with it for a week until he figured it out. He's really good at his "job." I will be hosting a book signing at Barnes and Noble from 1:00pm - 3:00pm today or until Security kicks me out, whichever comes first!!! :lolsign:
