SJV: This coin was near a tree lined property line. The soil was real loamy with lots of leaf compost. The plug actually disintegrated when I fliped it over. Because of this the coin actually popped out of the loose soil and I didn't find it until I covered up the hole and rescanned the area with the coil. Found it on top of the ground 3-4 from the hole. I think this 2-center held up really well because it didn't get to compacted with soil and water drained away nicely. I was just plain lucky .

:bangahead01: del says my pic of my 1864 small motto 2 cent sucks, so here's another. Any better? I had to put some something on it to get the detail, thats why it lokks pitted. It's not. Not much anyways. Look at Ebay, I've seen worse selling for up to $300 range. The &quot:grin: is visible, the WE is strong and the T in trust is good. Thats all you need to sell for between $200 and up. Their rare from what I've read.
