well more snow fell here in Connecticut yesterday with much more expected on Wednesday :girlcry: seems the weather here is only giving us very small windows of opportunity every now and then. the good news is that the days are getting longer , its now February which means Spring is only weeks away and some of the best detecting of the year.

I feel your pain, Dan. I wasn't able to go detecting even once in the entire month of January. That's the first time in 3 years that there was a whole month where I wasn't able to get out.

And looking at the 10 day forecast, it doesn't look like things are going to improve soon. :frozen: :crying01:

Hey, I'm wondering if we should all meet somewhere for coffee and bring some of our finds to sit and chat about this spring's detecting goals. Would be fun to meet as many people as travel allows us to meet and see what every one is finding.

Del the last time that I had a chance to do a little detecting was back in December, we're overwhelmed with snow here this year. :(

Yep! Unless we get a few of those magical warm windy days to evaporate the snow away it will be a flooded muddy mess here some spring.

you all heard that George is springing for coffee and appetizers , who's in .

Between the weather and obligations it's been rough. Did finally get to get out on Sunday for 4 hours. Not much luck but better then not. I got this feeling that it will be quite awhile before my next hunt seeing the reports for a potential super storm this weekend. Well good luck safe & HH.

We got about 1 ft in Westfield...and more to come this weekend!!!!!!! No detecting until April.......BLAH!

If the frost is really deep, won't that "heave" more things up from the depths? I'm just trying to find a positive here.

Welcome to the forum Ole # 7 :waving:

It could definitely move stuff around in the ground

I imagine that the frost heave this year will make a big difference. Around here, we've been experiencing Frost Quakes.
