Relic hunters might like what I found today.

Today I went to a spot where there was an old school. I found the area where there were a bunch of thick vines, but there was no foundation. I found a bunch of stuff, but the coins have eluded me this time. The list includes: what seems to be a 1935 die cast Wrigley's Mack truck made by Tootsietoy. where what I found came out in three pieces. There was a private eye cap gun from the 1960's that also came out in three pieces. A pipe elbow. A shotgun shell made by UMC co from the early 1900's (1911 or so), and and early 1900's .25-20 shell. A car thermostat but later than 1970. There was a number 3 for a door, unknown if it was from the school. A large set of keys. And the piece of metal which seems to be made of a light metal like aluminum. I know it's not a folded can; its definitely solid.

Oh, no iron nails this time, Ehhh George?

the finds in your posts are looking better Jim , i can see some "older than clad" coins very near in your future sir. too bad you have to work tomorrow , i'd give you another shot at some colonial goodies.

Pretty interesting assortment of identifiable items. Sorry you didn't end up with any coins.

Only the folded piece of metal with holes (that looks like it might be 8" diameter round if unfolded and complete) and the metal blob idk what they are. Guessing there were toys from the 60's, I'm assuming the school might have burned down around that time due to aluminum wiring. Hence the solid piece of aluminum at a few inches. The toys were way down; 8-10". But 60's was before my time so I only knew the schools where they are located now.

I may be wrong but the thing at bottom left of first picture looks like a lamp part. No nails huh? They are always part of my take

Drew, does the large staple or cotter pin count? I didn't check if they were iron as I know some cotter pins come brass. The one intriguing thing is for the keys. Obvi people lose their keys all the time, nbd. But the really rusty small key looks like it goes to one of those round lock holes. Was the person who lost it a correction officer or a police officer and it's a cuff key? Was it for a safe? Or did the guy work filling vending machines?
