Went to a 1900 house and hit the whole yard in three hours... might go back and see what I missed. Got 16 wheats including a nice green 1918, indian cent #30 FTY, silvers #61 and #62 FTY, and lots of relics. One of the relics was a Civil War general staff cuff button. I have some history behind it...

The button I dug yesterday turned out to be a Civil War general staff cuff button. A Union soldier most likely wore this and then dropped this button on March 17th, 1863 when John S. Mosby raided Herndon Station. Mosby captured 25 members of the 1st Vermont Calvary and forced them to surrender. The only reason Mosby didn't burn this town down was because it was a major railroad station back in the day.
