Cafeteria Silver

I just got back from the cafeteria at work where I went to eat tonight. The tab came to $6.90. Here's what I got back in change. Spring can't come quick enough around here. photo.JPG

I found 2 silver quarters working as a cashier.
Nice Jim ! Remind me to show you the 1957-D penny that I found in my change a couple years ago. It looks like it was minted yesterday. Also found a 1942-S war nickel in change a month or two ago. It was really weird looking with some green crap on it and I couldn't read a date on it so I soaked it in worstershire sauce for a day and it came out pretty nice.

Nice find. We have a pay as you go snack shop at my workplace and I also found a silver rosie recently. A worn 1959 but I took it and exchanged for a modern clad dime.

Good eyes Mike. I used to check all my change, (and occasionally found silver) but now we use plastic for almost everything. (a cash-back thing) Our bank tellers get silver once in a while, but they are wise to the value. It's just not fair.
