Thursday Hunt / Silvers & Buffs

Alec and I went out for a while today after the rain stopped.
First House, Alec dug a 1950 Rosie & a 1945 Washington. I dug an "Emerson for Governor Token" ( he was elected in 1927) and a 1946 Canadian penny.
Second House, Alec dug a 1917 Merc & an old compact case. I dug two Buffalo nickels, a 1917 & 1928 and an old pocket watch.
Third House, Alec slept while I hunted for 15 minutes before it got dark. I dug a nice 1900 Indian.

The last photo is a little better shot of the Two Cent piece that I dug yesterday. 1864

Alec needs to quit staying up so late playing video games so he can make it through the day without a nap! :lol:

I really like that Emmerson for Governor token! Nice piece of history there. Also, that 1900 Indian Head is a real beauty! It must have been brand new when it was dropped.

That Lady Esther compact is very interesting too. I wonder how old it is?

I tried cleaning it a little without to much success, I think I'm just going to leave it as is. I don't want to ruin it.

Less taxation? I wonder if that actually happened..:hystericallaugh: That IH is in such great shape. I am wondering at what point in history products were more widely transported. I figured by the 20's with paved roads that goods would be shipped around the country. A lot of the relics you from IL post tend to be from around Chicago, which the surprising part is not finding stuff there from other parts of the country.
