A few new whatsits

Lodge Scent

I found one of those "T" shaped things yesterday and one about a month ago at different sites. Both sites late colonial to late 1800's. Certainly more modern trash can be found at both sites. They almost look like electrical connections of some sort.

I'm guessing the ornate flattened brass tube to the right might be part of a cane decoration or maybe part of a scabbard as Luke suggested ???

The whatsit below the quarter I have no idea.

Any and all guesses are welcomed.

They are from old Ford engines. Usually Model-T. I think they have something to do with the ignition.

Interesting find. Those make me think of old old old relays. They don't look like they have anything to do with electrical. Maybe I saw something like this one time in the back to the future movie. Maybe it was #3.

I don't know old engines very well, but they look like individual points for an ignition system. The cam would bump up and make a momentary contact on those points for a spark?
