Yes, they did clean up well. What method did you use?
Worcestershire sauce on the Buffalo nickel, throw some in a shot glass and soak overnight,rinse with water,if not clean enough, replace sauce and repeat. Soak penny in olive oil overnight, pick off crud with something plastic (or bamboo is good too) and pointy,if necessary,repeat.
 
Nice Mike. I tried cleaning a nickel once. I think I tried a mix of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce but it didn't come out that great.
