Hello all.

I've been detecting a little over 2 years. I haven't found anything amazing yet, but I find just enough to keep me interested. I still work so I usually detect on the weekends and sometimes in the evening during DST.

Welcome from Wisconsin! You're detecting a nice area of the country with a lot of history. Should be a lot of civil war relics out your way. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your finds. What machine are you swinging?

Thanks guys! As far as the Civil War relics I would have thought I would have at least found a bullet by now but no luck. I did find a buckle a couple weeks ago that I am told is likely 1840-1850s militia. It's in rough shape but I am going to get it restored even though it's probably not worth what it will cost to restore. :lol:

I currently swing a XP Deus. My first year of detecting I used an AT Pro. I liked it, but I was starting to have shoulder trouble so I wanted something lighter. I like the Deus, I just wish coils for it weren't so expensive. I use the 11" but would also like to get the 13". But I'm not paying 450+ for a coil. Supposedly they have a software upgrade coming with a new coil option. It will be interesting to see what that is all about.

Is there a daily finds section here? I don't recall seeing it yet.

I hear great things about the Deus Bill and have been contemplating on getting one soon .
