Finally got out for a hunt...

Life has been getting in the way of my detecting lately, but I finally got out this past Saturday at a few permissions that my brother got for me. These finds came from a farm field and a private yard in town. No spectacular finds, but it was good to get out.

Nothing too exciting in the coin department: 1903 Indian Head, dateless Buffalo and some wheaties.

Here are the relics. I did find a couple of tokens.

I'm not sure what this eagle is. I think it's broken.

Louis L. Emmerson ran for Secretary of State in Illinois in 1916. Here is one of his campaign tokens from that year. He was elected Governor of Illinois in 1928.

Good for 5 cents in trade at The News Stand in Olney, IL.

Great to see got out for a hunt. Congrats on all your finds, especially the News Stand trade Token. Thats a pretty cool one!
I hope life allows you to get a little more often. I always enjoy your posts and videos.

You know I'm drooling  over the tokens!!:loveit:
I'm just glad your getting to fit in a little time detecting. I know the feeling.
At least you got out and made some nice finds!
Congrats

I also like the tokens especially the political one. Looks like someone did not like that candidate though! Glad to see you out swinging again Tony! Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Tony;
Glad you found time to get out for a hunt, nice hunt and pictures.
Hope to see a video from you in the future, always enjoy them...

Great that you got out for some swing time, I know it felt good. Always love to see tokens posted and congrats on the coins.

Good to see you got out, Tony. It's been a while since you had a vid on YouTube... I like the token. I'd agree thinking the eagle piece is broken, but it looks intentionally broken to be symmetrical like that. I was thinking it would look like a badge of some sort with the eagle on the top, but I see it in size comparison to the token and maybe it's a pin?

Very nice variety of finds Tony , its always great to see what you find .

I agree with Jim , looks like the eagle was off a badge of some kind .
