Colonial items and a clay pipe??

Got out today for a little with my buddy Carter. We ended up finding 3 oxen shoes and part of a bone all in one hole. Interesting. I also dug a spoon with no makers mark and a nice tombac. Anyone have any idea how old the spoon could possibly be?

I also dug what I think is a clay pipe without the bowl part. It looks as if there are engravings on both sides of it. I can make out "LAWH" at the end of one I believe. Can anyone confirm this to be a pipe?

Thanks!!

Nice finds and definitely a pipe stem. I think I read somewhere that the diameter of the hole will tell you how old it is. Del probably knows for sure though. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Thanks Dave!! I'm definitely gonna go back to the hole and sift through to see if the bowl is still in it. That'd be something if I found it! I didn't realize it could possibly be a pipe until I got home!
