Nice demo. Almost makes me want a Deus now! Have to give it a try sometime with my CTX to see if it will match that. I know I can get a penny at 12 plus inches at the beach. Just don't normally see coins that deep elsewhere.
I hit deeper finds with my CTX! I've hit small 200 year old copper coins at 15+ inches even though the CTX read 12 inches!
The three advantages of the Deus are:
1. Speed. (It recovers much faster than the CTX.)
2. Weight. (Very light, less arm fatigue.)
3. Price. ($1500 vs. $2500)
The disadvantages are:
1. Almost no water capability.
2. No computer screen readout. (Which I find extremely advantageous.)
3. No GPS capability. (In Germany you must submit your finds to a government agency with GPS coordinates where you found the item.)
4. Depth. In my opinion, the CTX does read deeper.
5. Very hard to detect in or near salt water.
These are just my opinions based on experiences detecting with my CTX alongside a Deus user, but as always, opinions may vary.
