Thanksgiving weekend RevWar hunt

Saturday November 26 - I took my brother-in-law, who was visiting from out of town, to one of my older permissions that I hadn't been to in over a year. It was nice to see him dig his first colonial silver, a 1773 real. He also dug 3 colonial coppers, musketballs and buttons. I found a bunch of revwar buck n ball, buttons and a small complete buckle. I was glad to see the field is still producing.

Nice finds, Brian. Interesting, I wonder if I have ever found any of the buckshot before at sites where I have found some muskets and just thought of them as modern rifle/shotgun shot. Good to know sites can still produce, even silver, after a year. There is a permission that I have to get back to now and go over with the higher sense to find the deeper stuff I was prob missing. I just end up finding wooded places instead of hitting permissions.

Congrats on some great finds Brian! Shoot us some closeups of your brother-in-law's coppers/silver if you have time. Always love the old ammo, and you found quite the haul!

Thanks! I tend to go back to old permissions kinda on a whim. Sometimes it turns out well other times not so... anyways this field is about 10 acres and I'm sure there is still more to be found there!

Now those are all some super finds. Always nice to go back to a permission and it still produces

It sure is. Thanks
