Buttons from two spring hunts

March 26 & April 15, 2017 - The Muck Field has been a favorite go to field for the last five years. Located close by to the Saratoga Battle Field it has produced Rev War relics and colonial coins. In the 1800's there must have been a homestead due to the amount of brick, pottery, nails and buttons found from that era.

Although this wasn’t a spectacular hunt, it was just nice to be out detecting. Enjoy!

The "Muck Field" has a nice sound to it. Besides the buttons you got some nice lead too.

Thanks! The owner named it. Half the field is usually under water or muck for most of the year. Its been a good field over the years lots of lead and buttons, a few coppers and a couple reales.
