Kinda makes you drool, doesn't it? Yeah, it must have had the same affect on the previous 50 people who detected it. :crying02:

I got permission to detect this wonderful property, and the owners told me it had been detected several times. Not to be deterred, I knew I had to give it a try anyway. Not many signals at all, unfortunately. The two Indian Head Cents were about 6 feet apart between two very large trees. I really had to work to get them out of the roots.

The twin 1918 Wheat Cents were about a foot apart in the sidewalk strip. I would guess the cuff link is from the 1920s.

Not many finds but I satisfied my curiosity, plus I was happy to get the 1875 Indian Head.

Yeah that is a great looking spot! I'm sure the first few people found a bunch there. Wonder if DiggerDon will recognize it?

Yeah Tony, I would be drooling all over myself too if I had a chance there! Now that you've detected there I'm confident there is nothing left to find. Congratulations on finding that 1875 indian head cent that all the others missed. Best wishes for 2018 and HH Dave.

Ahh the classic yes BUT its been detected before ( sigh) non the less a beautiful house and I dont know why but I always find pleasure in finding what others have missed, I know I must get creative and scope out some areas others would overlook or to lazy to dig ( ie under the roots) . Thsnks for sharing

Good for you to hit it and come away with some nice finds. Unless you hit it you'd never know what lies in the dirt below.

Thanks for the post Tony! Your first comments made me laugh and we've all been there. Makes those moments when you're not overly excited and find great stuff all the better. Congrats on the 70s IH!
