Went out for a long hunt this holiday week. Was a real oven, temps peaked to the low 90's and near 100 in some areas. Was nearly way to hot to swing the big coil this week. Thought this heat would never end....boy was I ever wrong. These last couple days its been real wet and in the high 50- low 60s.
Decided to hunt the fairgrounds home to the North Western Michigan fair. Got a real solid nickel signal registering on the ACE about four inches. Fug down fix inches to get this slice of heaven. It was in such good condition, I thought for a moment I had a war nickel. No luck om picking out a date though, had to resource to Coinfacts.com to try to guess a year based on total mintage. From what Ive seen, I would take a creak and say its either a 1864, or 65.
All-n-all picked up 100 coins for a total of $7.47. Grand prize of the day was a no date shield nickel eace:

It's gonna have to be a little newer than '64 or '65. First one was in '66 and had rays on it, so yours is anywhere from 1867 - 1883. Nice find. :clapping: And I hear you on the change in weather :clapping: :clapping:
