The new sovereign kinda spoiled me on my first hunt this weekend. After my first five targets the coil made its way over a super smooth low tone, which I guessed to be a lead fishing weight. As soon as I kicked the sand pile I dumped from my scoop my heart went into overdrive. Laying there in...
After making the silverless ride of shame a few times from my usual hunt site, I decided to make a bigger effort at the new site my brother and I were toying with. While the silver was a little harder to coax out, I managed a few and a couple other interesting items. A Colorado, one fifth cent...
Met my brother for our usual saturday hunt after coffee. This site just keeps giving, although its getting harder to interpret the deeper signals. I cant help but think that sooner or later the site will give up something special to one of us.
Managed to get away from work after lunch so I went to pick somemore signals apart. The ETrac is smokin! |:cheering: I sure do like hunting in this fall weather with temps in the mid 40s, but our ground sure is still dustbowl dry.
I made it back out to the site where I found the token yesterday and decided to hit an area weve often ignored. Really slowing down and picking the signals apart paid off pretty well.
I made it out after work last night for about an half hour before dark and again this morning. Picked out a couple dimes last night, a couple more this morning and my first ever token. A Hyde Hub City Lines bus token from the mid 1940s. They sure made thier tokens small, maybe hoping people...
Had about 45 minutes after work today and pulled three consecutive year wheats, 44,45,46. Then got kind of a weird 10-low 30ish signal. Dug the plug and was about ready to do the gold dance, till I picked it up and could tell right away it was plated. lol lol
I got out early this morning detecting with my brother, and again pulled an extremely worn Barber from the same area. One of these times I'll find one thats not so worn out. Its kind of a good thing it was a worn one, my Lesche gave the top of it a little nick while trying to get down to it in...
Got my ETrac a little over a month ago and am loving it!! Im starting to get the hang of picking out the not quite so clear-iffy signals. Heres the silver from a couple after work hunts the last couple nights. I didnt picture the wheats I pulled and have been passing signals in the 5 or less...
Planned another lake hunt with my brother on tuesday but he had an after lunch job interview, so we settled on hunting a local park. The ETrac was really nailing the coins, with the oldest being a 1912 barber dime. Not in the pic are the 23 wheats, some of which sure were silver sounding. lol...
My brother was a little under the weather yesterday and wanted to sleep in this morning before we headed to a local lake. Since I couldnt stand to see the early morning slip away, I headed to a park in town and managed a few wheats and a lone merc to keep me from being silverless for the day. We...
A big thanks goes out to my brother for showing me the abilities of the E-Trac,rather convincingly. I recieved my new E-Trac a couple weeks ago and took to it like a duck in water. The finds are the highlights from the past couple weekends and the ring is from a half day trip to one of the...
Hunted an older park this week and for some reason this deep 14k two tone gold ring gave a good repeatable silver signal. Im not sure why it did,but Im glad it did. Out of the ground it gives a typical +43 VDI.
Its been about a month and a half since I started running the DFX,which I wasnt real sure about the first few times out.It took me a while to decipher the deeper signals when running correlate, but Im glad I stuck with it. Until tonight my wheat/silver ratio was running about 4 1/4 to 1 .Tonight...
Well, I managed to push enough of the right keyboard keys to start an album lol but every time I try to add a picture to the album,I get an Error 500 Internal Server Error message.Im I doing something wrong when trying to add another pic?
