p.s. That War of 1812 that I won in one of your contests still holds a proud place in my collection, Jared! It's a beauty!

    Amazing Copper Culture Indian Artifacts

This is a mic drop post! That site has been a gold mine for you! It seems you find spectacular relics every time you go back. So much incredible history! The trade silver is especially eye-catching. Simply amazing! 👍

    Silvers so far for 2026

Impressive! That is a nice pile of silver and the year is only half over. My silver count has gone down significantly in recent years. I have found exactly two silver coins so far this year, a Merc and a Washington.

    It's Been a While

That's an amazing find, Don! Congrats! They are rarely found with a metal detector because they produce such a low signal. Still on my bucket list!

Is anyone selling a White's Digmaster hand digger?

I had always been a Lesche user until my brother bought me a White's DigMaster for Christmas several years ago. It has held up WAY better than the Lesche diggers ever did! Best of luck with your search!

    Unusual insect

Very cool White-lined Sphinx moth! They are big moths that behave like a hummingbird. I saw one flying around our flowers a few years ago.

    First copper of the year

Congrats on the Liberty Cap, Dan! It's a coin that we can scarcely dream of finding here in the Midwest.

    First coin of the year

I am envious! A Trime is one coin that has eluded me. They sure are tiny. Congrats on the old coin and the Colonial cufflinks, Dan!

Nasty site gives up a copper

That's a sharp looking Matron! Any idea on the age of the stick pin? That is a neat find also. I love the keg tap too! If only it could talk! Good job being persistent in those tough conditions!

    1st Copper of 26!

Nice! And it cleaned up well enough to see good detail and a clear date! To my eye it definitely looks like 1803 as the 1805 had a slanted 5. Congrats, Roger!

South East Wisconsin - Ozaukee County

Howdy from SE Illinois! How do you like your Equinox 800? I have one and I'm still trying to get accustomed to it. There was a learning curve coming from my reliable E-Trac. I have only detected in Wisconsin three times; once in a large park in Baraboo, another time in Black River Falls...

    Yardie Shield Nickel

That is a great find, Dave! Rarely is a Shield Nickel dug that has a legible date! Did you find that with your Deus II?

Where is everyone? Too quiet here!

Hi Digger_O'Dell! Sadly, Facebook Groups and Instagram are slowly replacing metal detecting forums. In a way, we're lucky that this forum still exists at all. Even most of our moderators seem to have disappeared. I'm not casting blame on anyone, I have been lax about posting as well...
