South East Wisconsin - Ozaukee County

Greetings fellow Dirt Diggers! I've been detecting for the past 2 1/2 years in Milwaukee, Washington, Sheboygan and Ozaukee counties. My wife and I just retired and thought she would be more into it, but alas...I detect solo most days. I mainly use a NOX 800 with a Coiltek 10x5, have various coils, a NOX 600, Nokta Simplex Ultra, magnet fishing gear, etc.
Love to spend some time with like minded individual(s). You know how it is...once you get bit by the MD bug, that's all you want to talk about! ;) Still pretty cold out, but I'd head out if the wind isn't bad. Other than that, we can notes and finds and plan for a date once the weather gets warmer.
I'm brand new to this forum, so I'm guessing you reply to this and maybe I'll get an email or I keep checking this thread? Thanks, Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris , congrats on retirement !! the site has been a bit slow due to all the cold and snow and many of us have some serious cabin fever going on . Whats been some of your favorite finds in the past 2 1/2 years ?

Howdy from SE Illinois! How do you like your Equinox 800? I have one and I'm still trying to get accustomed to it. There was a learning curve coming from my reliable E-Trac.

I have only detected in Wisconsin three times; once in a large park in Baraboo, another time in Black River Falls (didn't find much) and again in a park somewhere with fellow forum member Digger Don. I can't recall where this was exactly but Don had previously found a Trime in this park. I only found a couple of Buffalo Nickels.

I would keep checking this thread periodically as we do have some members in Wisconsin. (y)

Welcome to the forum, we are glad you joined us!
