Since most detectors operate on different frequencies, has anyone out there bought a detector just for the freq it operates on. My reason for asking is,some savvy detectorist may have figured out what freq seems to get the best finds consistenly

my idx is actin funny as far as the id section seems a little sloppy or flaky, this is only in the disc mode.I am thinking the ground balance might be a liitle off or maybe it needs a tune up :dontknow:

i have never dug one of these targets ,what am i missing :omg:

Iam using the mxt all the time now,nothin fantastic as other users report ,but it goes deep,finds very small items and i am getting more comfortable using it.My question is,why am i finding nickles between 18 - 24 range I thought the machine would be more exact. Rusty nickles read differently...
