Yeah. I haven't posted here in forever! I haven't detected as much this year compared to past years, and apart from a few good videos I posted this year on Youtube, many of my hunts recently have been shorter ones and/or at rather uneventful locations. But I'm finally getting back into the...
Hey all! I know it's been forever since I've posted. Been keeping busy with work. Did a lot of detecting last year in my down time. The YouTube channel has also kept me busy trying to put the videos together so everyone can enjoy. Haven't spent as much time on the forums looking at what everyone...
Found this about 2 weeks ago in and old yard by the sidewalk out front. It's identical to other WWII style ID bracelets I have seen. My largest silver item to date!
Got out hunting yesterday with Rusty from Cutaplug Metal Detecting on Youtube. We have been friends on Youtube for quite a long time and he recently moved about 30 minutes away from me, so we can hunt together now. :yahoo:
We did a lot of door knocking, basically a long day of mediocre...
Found this last weekend and figured I'd share. :) My best relic in a while!
It cleaned up really nice! (And I'm still working on it) I can't believe the entire pin is intact. :shocked04:
Found it around and old house that a lot of goodies came out of.
Seems like they are fairly scarce too...
Had an amazing day of hunting hitting up some very productive home sites. It just blew me away! :shocked04:
The 2 indians are 1883 and 1890 (the 1883 indian was right next to the toasted shield nickel and possibly a spill)
Special hunt because until today my oldest indian was 1889.
I went...
Had another good hunt today. We've had really nice weather here recently and the ground has been very soft. Best time of the year to hunt in Tennessee before the ground dries up for the summer and you can't dig without killing peoples grass. :bummer:
So needless to say I'm cranking out the...
Hey everyone. I apologize for my absence. I have been hunting, just not posting for a while. I'll try to be more active this year. First pic is a merc I found on Feb 1st. My best one in a while. Values at about $24 in this condition. Added a few other coins I found the same day. Was a...
When out scouting with some friends saturday, and after a slow morning scored some permissions.
The first yard we hit was AMAZING. Between the 3 of us we had a total of 4 silver coins, 2 silver rings and 55 wheats! :shocked04: We hit a lot of good relics too.
My oldest wheats were 1918 and...
Been hunting a small spot in the ghetto that seems like it has never been hunted. That or people are put off by the OVERLOAD of trash and modern coinage and leave. Most of the signals you can't even go by pitch because there's so many targets. The first hunt I decided it was time to wrap it up...
A couple cool rings I found during my hunts over the last week. One was in an old home yard and the other in a park. The last one is 11.6 grams and bigger than the first 3 silver rings I found this year combined.
Too bad the first one is smashed to oblivion. :ticked:
Put in about 5 1/2 hours today between a park and some empty lots in an older community. (With permission of course)
Other than the clad there wasn't many interesting finds except the old pocket watch bezel.
Was happy to pull the 1936 and 1939-D mercs
No wheats today. A nice breather...
Had an amazing pair of hunts today. :happydance01:
Started out at a new spot which ended up being an old dump site. :shocked04:
Every hole had brick, concrete, glass, you name it! There were overload signals all over the place. Strangely it wasn't too hard to hunt because there wasn't a lot of...
WHOOPS, I MEANT TO SAY IT'S A 6 YEAR CALENDAR! =D
Found this last weekend and finally got it cleaned up good! All the parts are there minus the matches.
It's a really cool piece and I was happy to find it. They appear to be rather scarce also. The first website I found showed one in...
Did 2 very long hunts today & yesterday with friend from youtube that happened to be in my area (He's from Michigan) I don't have pictures of his finds (they're in my YT videos) but he found a 1920 merc in VF and a 1945 merc today. :)
My first day I found the 1940-D merc, which was needed for...
If anyone is ever within a reasonable distance from Knoxville, TN give me a holler. Always looking for new friends to hunt with. I'd do anything. Coin shoot, relic hunt, water hunt, rob a bank. etc...
Found a few hot spots at side-by-side old schools today. Got 4 wheats (one I think was a recent drop as it was half inch under with a zinc )
Also found that neat, small key and 3 silvers. :)
The war nickel incredible. It even has some traces of the steps visible. :shocked05:
I dug about...
Hunted 2 different houses today, both built in 1920. No silver, but made some cool finds. Kennedy half is a 1991-D and one of the 3 wheaties is a 1919. The gospel coin is neat, I've never found one before. In great shape for being aluminum! :)
Pendant is marked Germany on the back.
Got out for about 9 hours total over the last 2 days at various different spots.
First day I hit 2 silvers, and the suspenders clip that says "GOLD COIN" on it. But where's the gold coin? :overreaction:
Then today I hit up a super trashy old park looking for gold and silver jewelry. I ended...
Managed to go on 4 hunts in a last 5 days that spanned from 1 hour to 7 hours. Funny now matter how long the hunts were I still got 1 silver each. lol
A variety of hunting spots, 2 old schools, a new sports complex (used to be an old field by a river bend and some old houses), old house...
