    MXT Relic-Hunt

Yesterday we had really nice weather. So decided to do some metal-locating on farmland as long as it is not plowed and seeded. Two weeks ago the MXT did very good at the beach with the new 950 coil, and now I thought it's time to bring it to the farmland. Hunting this field every now and then...

    Which One To Sell !?

For now I have to make a decision selliing one of my three detectors. -- Like to hunt with each one. Every detector has it's pro's and con's. All play in the same league, I think. Not going to throw a coin. There are at least 2 coils present for every detector. In the bowl are the Fisher CZ-70...

Is White's Revising Their Range Of Products?

Visiting the White's site not that often as I should, but if I do, things have changed. Right now there are only 2 MXT variations available; the MXT All Pro and the MXT. But what makes me really wonder is, they call them M-Series now. This series holds 4 detectors, MXT, MXT All Pro, MX5 and the...

    Time To Quit This Hobby...

Gday my friends. Depending on new laws here think it's time to quit detecting. Will have to do some visits to the urban administration in the next future and then decide what to do. I'll keep you updated. Cheers

    How to ... use 10 AAA NiMH's instead of 8 AA NiMH's

Some time ago I made this modification to a standard battery pack for a Minelab Sovereign GT, too. Think it will do it for a lot of detectors which will use the 8 AA cells. Have fun and HH. =) Battery Pack Modification

What do/would you like to find with a metal detector?

What do/would you like to find with a metal detector? Now what I like to find is items with a trustful date on. Like coins or dog tags. Yes, it would be nice to dig up some gold (nuggets/jewelry) or relics from old eras. But I'm always happy when pulling out a coin or tag. What's about...

    OFF topic (new hobby)

While the wife and me were going to arrange our new chill out place, I stumbled across these clocks. The wall clock was stored for more than 20 yrs in the basement and the other two mantel clocks I got from the flea market. First of all we wanted one of those mantel clocks standing on the shelf...

DIY: DeLeon modification to real 12Volt rechargeable

Some time ago I got rid of the 9.6 Volt when using rechargeable batteries in the DeLeon. Even with fully charged batteries the meter showed a half bar only in battery test. So I decided to put in a battery holder for 10x 1.2 Volt (12 Volt) NiMH AA sized rechargeable batteries. The hardest thing...

Part of a Luster approx. 1850-1900

This part of a luster (holds the candle stick) was found on a paddock during a test hunt with a prizm 2 with the 8 coil, in June 2004. It was 5 to 6 inches deep and is made of brass. The ruler next to it is in mm. TNX for watching. Vito

CZ-70 Pro - my favorite detector

This is a video made in 2010 about the CZ-70 Pro from Fisher Labs. What I really love on this detector is 4-tone ID and it's depth capability, even with the 8 coil. Very easy to handle. To bad they're no longer manufactured. What ever... hope you enjoy watching. Vito Digging For Metal - CZ-70...

New to the site, but not to metal detecting.

Hello all. As the name suggests, I'm from germany near muenster. Yup, a kRAuT. My first detectors, when I started this hobby in 1991, were home made. Being a skilled electronic technician the electronics wasn't a problem. The worst thing was building the search coils. After digging a...
