By the luckiest of happenstances I stumbled across one heck of a spot this weekend. I don't want to give too many details until I get in a few more hunts there (just in case) but I'm too excited by these finds to not post. Long story short, I dug some 70+ wheats, a dateless Buff, a beat up 1915 Canadian large cent, and 15 silver coins this weekend! Like the subject says I am tired and happy.
Silver at this spot comes out looking lousy, with a stubborn grey tarnish. The ring in the second to last pic is stamped sterling and is missing a stone. The item next to it is junk I assume but it looks old and sure is pretty. I have absolutely no idea what the item next to the Libra token in the last pic is... and ideas would be appreciated.
It seems odd to me that I could pull so many dimes and pennies without at least one old quarter in there, but I'm not complaining. I found 113 modern coins in addition to the old stuff. The Barber dime is only my third ever. The weather was nice for all the hunts but it was in the beating sun, I'm feeling a little cooked!
