1700s Foundation Day - 4 Copper Day... (w/Del and Coinnut)

Hello all!

I spent the day with Dan and George... We 10 + hours with George... Dan had prior camping plans and share a few hours with us... He did nab a nice deep KG II or III...

Its a site I've been to 3 times this year on private posted property...

This buckle was my last target... 12/27 12/29 @ 9-10

Nice piece...

Now on to the coppers... I was on fire and they seemed to all pop pretty quickly... I was gridding a section that appeared to be the front yard... Same area that Dan nabbed his copper...

This one looks like its a King George I (1714-1727)

King George III ??

King George II or III ??

This is a bust face left... and if you loot at the reverse top... I can see a crown... Any thoughts?

Hey Paul, you were on fire lol Real nice hunt and thanks for inviting us to view your copper frenzy :shocked04: It was a picture perfect day thumbsup01 I think that last coin is an Irish Hibernia from around the 1760- 1770's era. It has a harp and a crown above it on the reverse. You did really well today. I've never seen a site have so many Farthings :dontknow: When they cut that grass, other targets will surface. That place still has some good potential. I got that farthing, a 1917 Wheat , lots of scraps and a nice small crotal bell. Thanks again for a good hunt |)

George, Thank you for coming down for the hunt... I had a great time hunting, chatting, learning, and sharing about our common interest in music... I'm glad we got to know each out a little better and look forward to our next hunt...

paul you had a great day erfect10: i'll pay you the money i owe you ( for putting George in his place lol lol) the next time i see you :grin: the second copper is a wood's hibernia 1722-24 and your fourth coin is a late King George II irish hibernia , i'm still wondering on your third copper Paul . that site might be a little earlier than you first thought. i really appreiciate the hunt today as it was about amonth since my last time and i very much enjoyed it , thanks that site should last you quite a while in detecting time , its a great spot . i just wish i could post pictures ( camping all weekend) my copper was an early young head George II copper 1730-1740 , i really wanted to stay but family time is important and the beers are tasty :beerbuddy: thanks again.

Ahhh that Dan guy, :dontknow: Send him out for beer and he never returns lol It was nice of him to leave the coppers though. oke: Wish you could have stayed a bit longer. I don't know where your priorities are mister...family or coppers lol I bet the beer swayed you rofl Paul, here is the keyhole plate that I found a while ago. Similar to yours, but not quite as ornate. It was a lot of fun today. :clapping:

i did drink my share lol lol

heres a few shots of the very scenic spot , it was a beautiful day with tons of area the only hinderance was the tall grass in places

nice large barn and corral area

and a very large off centered chimney colonial

here was my take for the few hours spent , as i said it was great to just get out after a month off of swinging .

yeah the button had me excited because of its stamped oval tool marks i did a couple of double takes :shocked01: :shocked01: before confirming it wasn't a GW lol lol
compared to your guys coppers its a newer one lol lol
