went out for an hour dug three holes and I found a 1752 British large cent while hunting along the Sheepscot river in Maine around a house that was built in 1789.

Only about 6 inches, it was in clay though ( reason for it being almost corrosion free) I have found about 8 of these and most are pitted beyond cleaning.
