Sunday was a beautiful day for a hunt and Dan took me to one of his sites. After the drive we immediately started walking up hill. I'm trying to chat with Dan between gulps of air lol Then around lunch time I almost dropped my Dagwood sandwich into the well. :shocked01:
I found most of my targets around the hole, including the 1888 (no over 7) IH.
The 1787 1/2 reale was found today on the way home from work, about a mile from my house.
Boy oh boy the deer are everywhere today!! Saw a buck and females in every field. Thanks for looking, Drew
PS Thanks for the invite Dan!

Congrats on the beautiful half real, Drew! It's in great shape! Nothing like 226 year old Spanish silver to make your day!

That's an awesome find! :wow:

:perfect10:

:omg: I'm in awe of that ½ Reale. The other finds are way cool too, like that old reproducer and those spoons, but that Reale....
Congratulations Drew!

Nice finds very lovely 1/2 Reale, I have seen three of them dug....but alas not by me :girlcry: still on my list!

Thank you everyone, hey Longhair....which/what is the reproducer? lol :dontknow:
I'm looking at the piece with the pattern top right in the pic. It looks like either part of a reproducer or a protective cover for one.
I could easily be wrong, but that what it looks like to me.

:loveit: :loveit:....Been awhile since I had any of that under my coil! Congrats on some old Spanish silver :congrats:

. You know a heck of lot more than me. I had no idea what that thing is...or what a reproducer is.
Thank you everyone!

Hey Drew, I think they call a phonograph piece a reproduced...like in Edison's time lol Congrats on a sweet 1/2 Reale :clapping:. Nice find it is thumbsup01

Yes, I'm talking pre-electricity phonograph parts. Several companies made them. Edison Columbia, Rockola, and Victor just to name a few of the better known.
What does the back look like Drew?

Here's the back of that thing Longhair.
yeah Lodge I like that spoon too and didn't hit it with the shovel as I do with most spoons lol

Well, it's smaller than I though, and given it's construction, I change my guess to a sweet, old, fancy button cover.
